The Hepatology and Bioinformatics Group, led by Prof. Dr. Dr. Andreas Teufel, head of the Hepatology Section at UMM, Germany, unites a dedicated team of physicians and scientists committed to advancing liver disease care.
With a robust background in bioinformatics research, we work to understand and anticipate the progression of complex liver conditions, such as cirrhosis and liver cancer. Our lab is also at the forefront of expanding healthcare access through telemedicine initiatives, bringing specialized liver care to underserved communities. By leveraging artificial intelligence and bioinformatics, we gain insights that enhance diagnostics, personalize treatments, and improve health outcomes, creating tools that make advanced liver care accessible to diverse populations worldwide.
